Binghamton.info
Privacy Policy
Last updated October 2026. Binghamton.info is a local guide and housing marketplace run by a licensed New York real estate broker. This page explains what information the site collects and what happens to it. No name, address, or phone number of the site operator is published on this site; contact the site through the contact form.
What the site collects
Contact and inquiry forms. When you send a message through the site's contact form or one of its inquiry forms (student, family/professional, or investor), you provide your name, email address, phone number if you include one, and whatever you write in the message. Those responses are stored in the site's account so the inquiry can be answered.
Marketplace accounts and listings. If you create an account on the Binghamton or SUNY Binghamton marketplace, the site stores your username and email address, and anything you post as a listing is public on the marketplace. Do not post personal information in a listing that you do not want public.
Analytics. The site uses Google Analytics, which sets cookies and reports aggregate, anonymized visit statistics — which pages are read, roughly where visitors come from, and what device they use. It does not identify you personally to the site operator. You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on.
Downloads. The landlord and tenant guide PDF is free with no email required, and downloading it collects nothing about you.
How information is used
Form messages are used to answer your inquiry. Account information is used to run and moderate the marketplace. Analytics are used to see which guides are useful and where the site needs work. Personal information is not sold, rented, or traded.
Who else processes it
Form responses are processed by Google (Forms and Sheets) under Google's own privacy policy, and the site is hosted by its web hosting provider. Those providers see the data only to operate their services.
Your choices
To ask for a copy, correction, or deletion of a message or inquiry you sent, use the contact form and describe what you sent. Marketplace account holders can edit or delete their own listings from their account.
Children
This site is intended for adults looking for housing. It is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through a form, contact the site through the contact form and it will be deleted.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the "last updated" date above will change. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
